Transportation Program

A NOTE FROM OUR DRIVERS (CARL, BOB, RAY, KEVIN, & JANE)

Our transportation programs are in full swing, and it’s been busy with activity! We recommend notifying us as soon as possible when you need rides, whether for medical or social routes. For information on our medical routes, please refer to page 15 of this newsletter, where you will find all the details you need.

In addition to our medical services, we also provide exciting social routes, which are included in the calendar below. Some of our special events this month include:

· St. Germain Flea Market: Discover unique treasures while enjoying the atmosphere.

· Eagle River Farmer’s Market: Support local vendors and find produce, crafts, flowers and more!

· Green Bay Botanical Garden: Stroll through beautiful landscapes for just $15, with a “buy one get one” (BOGO) free special that makes this trip even sweeter!

· Navarino Nature Center in Shawano: Join the 2026 Senior Safari Lunch and Learns where the topic is Spring Wildflowers. Suggested Donation is $5.00 and you will receive a meal. Be prepared to fill out a meal registration form when you arrive. At 11:00 their will be a brief introduction of the ADRC programs with lunch and educational seminar to follow. Please call Kathy Fohrman at the Commission on Aging by June 1 to reserve your spot!

We also want to give a big welcome back to Kevin Kramer, who has returned from his winter getaway. His bright spirit and dedication have been missed, and we are excited to have him back with us. He is joined by Carl, Jane, Bob, and Ray! They not only navigate the roads but bring their sense of humor to our trips. Rumor has it they have held some serious debates about the best way to keep the snack supply flowing during long rides. So, whether it’s keeping the snacks stocked or sharing a laugh, our drivers make every trip enjoyable.

On a bittersweet note, we say goodbye to our esteemed driver, Bob Veit, who has retired from the aging department. Bob’s kind heart and remarkable abilities for working with our seniors have made a lasting impact on our community. He will be greatly missed by all of us. ☹

Mark your calendars and join for us for these memorable outings—we can’t wait to see you on the bus!

Ride the bus for only $6.00 Per day!

For transportation ridership, please call 715-784-1497. We can’t wait to get you on the road!
